Welcome to ebertdesign.com. My name is Patrick Ebert, and I like to think I am an extremely creative individual that excels at offering creative solutions. I am currently employed by Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., the company that hosts Summerfest, The World's Largest Music Festival, on Milwaukee's lakefront.

I started my employment with Summerfest in 1997, straight out of college, starting as a Sign Shop Artist. Later that year I was promoted to Graphic Designer, and in 2004, I was promoted to Senior Graphic Designer, of which I now direct the entire Art Department. It is a unique position in that not only do I oversee the design and creation of all of the printed collateral produced by the company, but I also manage the sign production and installation that is handled by the company's Sign Shop.

I received a BFA in Art, Fibers-Surface Design, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. My primary focus was screenprinting a variety of designs and textures onto fabric and other substrates. Studying Fibers was a fascinating discipline in that there really were no boundaries, by a computer, paintbrush or any other tool used to create art, and it truly challenged my creativity in ways I have never experienced.

In addition to my artistic skills, I also hold a part-time job writing about baseball for Perfect Game USA, PG Crosschecker and Brewerfan.net. A passion and fascination with scouting and talent procurement led to this opportunity, writing in detail about different aspects of the game from the high school and college levels and how they serve as a bridge to professional baseball via the Major League Baseball draft.

I also provide graphics for both Perfect Game USA and Brewerfan.net, and welcome you to visit those sites to view examples of both my artistic and writing abilities.

Oh yeah...freelance design. While my day job and my part-time gig, not to mention my loving family, keep me plenty busy, I also offer my services to any organization looking for creative direction. I welcome you to view my portfolio as linked above (give time to download - PDF file, approx. 5.5MB) and contact me via email to discuss any potential opportunities.
